Cultivating Community: Why We’re Wired to Connect and Heal Together
On a primal level, I have come to understand that we have a human need for connection and co-regulation. It's a survival mechanism; we are hardwired to relate and to support each other.
Beyond those primal needs, life experiences are richer when shared. Coming together with like minded people and those we love can create incredible experiences of celebration and joy, and are also important in moving through the more challenging human experiences of grief and loss.
Community creates resilience in its people. It provides us with the support we need, enabling us to live as fully embodied humans, connected to the deep feeling journey as we guide and empower each other through challenges. It gives an outlet for unique expressions and vulnerability through the safety that comes with a sense of true belonging. A community that is aligned with our individual values, opens the pathway of wholesomeness in harmony with others.
As a singer songwriter and healing facilitator, I am deeply connected to the power of music to break down the walls, and bring people closer together. Through sharing deep heart music and freedom rock, I love to weave through communities are create a sense of openness where all is possible. A space opens where inspiration is ever present, co-creations are born, special connections take place, a the power of unity has been truly felt.
